What to show:
|
All entries must be clean, constructed of fabric, quilted or tied, bound and FINISHED. Exception: Unfinished pre-1960 tops may be shown. Quilts that were constructed for mass production i.e., department store or catalog purchased will not be displayed. Please be aware the quilts will be on display and may be handled. We will have white glove workers available so as to discourage anyone from handling the quilts with their bare hands.

Registration:

Register entries no later than Monday, September 15th

Identification:
|
Stitch or baste a fabric label on the bottom of the back of you quilt, including your name and the quilt title. If any item needs special handling, please make a note on the Entry Form.

|
Sleeves:
|
Attach a hanging sleeve to entries for display. Large quilts construct a tube from a 12" wide strip of fabric for a finished 6" sleeve. The sleeve should be almost the width of the quilt. Firmly sew or baste the top and bottom edges of the sleeve to the quilt back. Small quilts: Your finished sleeve should be at least 2" wide.

Insurance:
|
The church carries liability insurance for all events. Your quilt should be covered under your own homeowner’s policy. If you have any further questions contact your insurance carrier for detailed information.

Quilt Drop Off:
|
Deliver your labeled quilt to the Durand First United Methodist Church located at 10016 Newburg Road, Durand, MI on Wednesday, October 1st between 3:00 and 6:00pm. Quilts not delivered by the deadline will be considered withdrawn unless special arrangements have been made.

Quilt Pick Up:
|
Quilts will be picked up by the owners or authorized person (see Entry Form) between 6:00 and 7:30pm Saturday, Oct. 4th. Due to our desire to maintain the highest security for your quilt we will not release any quilts prior to 6:00pm.
|
|
Consignment Items:
|
Must be delivered to the church on Wednesday October 1th between 3:00 and 6:00pm. Consignment items will not be accepted after this time.
|
|
Scissor Sharpening
|
Steve will be at the show on Saturday to sharpen your scissors while you enjoy the show.
